Overview
This Mount Kinabalu package includes an overnight stay at either Kinabalu Park or Kinabalu Pine Resort in Kundasang before climbing the mountain the next day.
The package includes:
- 2-night accommodation and meals
- Land transfers
- Mountain guide
- Climbing fees (entrance, permit, insurance, certificate)
This package is suitable for those who want to spend an extra day at Kundasang to acclimatise or do some sightseeing before their climbing activity. At Mount Kinabalu, climbers will be staying at Laban Rata Resthouse.

Itinerary
DAY 1: KOTA KINABALU / KINABALU PARK HQ
- Dinner
- Pickup from your hotel lobby or airport and travel for approximately 2 hours to reach Kinabalu Park Headquarter, passing by villages and scenic views of the Crocker Range valleys.
- Make a brief stop at Nabalu, where the locals sell a range of locally-grown produce, fruits, vegetables, and handicraft souvenirs.
- Check into a private room at Kinabalu Park or Pine Resort upon arrival.
- The rest of the day is free for leisure activities.
- Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant and stay overnight.
DAY 2 - PARK HQ / TIMPOHON GATE / ASCEND MOUNT KINABALU / PANALABAN BASE CAMP
- Breakfast, Packed Lunch, Buffet Dinner
- Start the day with breakfast at Park Restaurant and collect your packed lunch.
- Head to the Park HQ to register for the climb, where our guide will assist you with all the necessary registrations, including assigning a mountain guide and getting an ID TAG. It's essential to wear your ID TAG throughout the climb.
- You'll then be transferred to the Timpohon Gate, the starting point for the climb, which takes approximately 4-5 hours and passes through various vegetation zones, such as Oak and Chestnut, mossy, and eventually alpine.
- Arrive at Panalaban Base Camp @ 3,272m, or a similar location, in the late afternoon and check-in.
- Enjoy a buffet dinner at Laban Rata restaurant and stay overnight.
DAY 3 - LOW’S PEAK / DESCEND MOUNT KINABALU / KOTA KINABALU
- Early Supper, Breakfast, Buffet Lunch
- 02:00 Hr: Wake up for an early supper and continue the journey towards the summit of Mount Kinabalu.
- The journey to the Low's peak @ 4,095m will test your fitness and determination. Depending on your trekking speed, you might witness the sunrise over Mount Kinabalu if the weather permits.
- 07:00 Hr: Descend back to Panalaban Base Camp for a late breakfast and check out.
- Trek down to Timpohon Gate for a transfer back to Kinabalu Park Headquarter (estimated arrival between 13:00 Hr and 15:00 Hr).
- Collect your Certificate of Achievement for climbing Mount Kinabalu.
- Enjoy a buffet lunch at the Balsam restaurant in Kinabalu Park. (Note: Due to its temporary closure, lunch will be served at Liwagu Restaurant after completing your climb.)
- Transfer back to Kota Kinabalu City. The journey takes approximately 2 hours.

Important Notes
- Climbers arriving at Timpohon Gate after 4:30 PM will be charged MYR 15.00 per hour per guide, which must be paid to the guide on site.
- Remember to bring your passport or MYKAD for verification during registration at the Kinabalu Park office.
- Beginning September 1st, 2017, the Tourism and Culture Ministry of Malaysia will be implementing a Malaysian Tourism Tax (TTX) for foreign tourists. The rate is MYR 10 per room per night, regardless of the accommodation's star level, and is to be paid upon check-in. Malaysians or permanent residents residing in Malaysia are exempt from the TTX and must present valid identification upon check-in to claim the exemption.
- It is recommended that all climbers have a medical check-up before attempting any mountain climb.
- Suppose you have a history of conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, palpitations, arthritis, heart disease, severe anaemia, peptic ulcers, epileptic fits, obesity, chronic asthma, muscular cramps, hepatitis, or any other illness that may impede your climb, it is highly recommended that you refrain from climbing.
- All children under the age of 15 must fill out an indemnity form upon registration at the park headquarters.
- Our dedicated team operates around the clock to accommodate all guests' arrival schedules. Therefore, we are able to provide airport pick-up services at any time to match your arrival time. Please provide us with your flight details at least one week prior to your flight so we can make the necessary arrangements.
