Overview
This is a Mount Kinabalu package that includes an overnight stay at Poring Hot Spring before their climb.
This package includes:
- 2-night accommodation and meals
- Land transfers
- Mountain guide
- Climbing fees (entrance, permit, insurance, certificate)
This package is for those who want to spend an extra day near Poring Hot Spring to acclimatise and enjoy the relaxing hot spring before their climb commences. At Panalaban Base Camp, climbers will be staying at Laban Rata Resthouse.

Itinerary
DAY 1: KOTA KINABALU / PORING HOT SPRING / KINABALU PARK
- Dinner
- You will be picked up from your hotel lobby or airport and start a 2-hour journey to Poring Hot Spring. While en route, you will pass by villages and a panoramic vista of the valleys of the Crocker Range.
- Along the way, there will be a brief stop at Nabalu, a place where local natives gather to sell local produce, fruits, homegrown vegetables, and handicraft souvenirs.
- Check into your Twin Sharing Room at Poring Hot Spring.
- You are free to spend the rest of the day at leisure.
- Dinner will be served at a local restaurant and you will stay overnight at Poring Hot Spring.
DAY 2 - PARK HQ / TIMPOHON GATE / ASCEND MOUNT KINABALU / PANALABAN BASE CAMP
- Breakfast, Packed Lunch, Buffet Dinner
- Start your day with breakfast at Park Restaurant. Receive your packed lunch after breakfast.
- Head to the Park HQ to register for the climb. Our guide will handle the necessary registrations, assign a mountain guide to you, and obtain your ID TAG. Keep your ID TAG on you at all times.
- You'll be transported to the starting point, Timpohon Gate, to begin your ascent to the summit of Borneo's highest mountain. This will take around 4-5 hours. During the climb, you will pass through different vegetation zones, including Oak and Chestnut, mossy, and alpine types.
- Check into your accommodation at Panalaban Base Camp @ 3272m upon arrival.
- Enjoy a buffet dinner at Laban Rata Restaurant and spend the night there.
DAY 3 - LOW’S PEAK / DESCEND MOUNT KINABALU / KOTA KINABALU
- Early Supper, Breakfast, Lunch
- 02:00 Hr: Wake up for an early meal and depart to continue your journey towards the summit of Mount Kinabalu.
- The journey to Low's Peak at 4,095m will challenge your fitness and determination. If the weather permits and you trek at a certain speed, you may witness the beautiful sunrise over the majestic Mt. Kinabalu.
- 07:00 Hr: Descend to Panalaban Base Camp for a late breakfast and check-out. Trek down to Timpohon Gate to be transported back to the Kinabalu Park Headquarters (estimated arrival time is between 13:00 Hrs to 15:00 Hrs).
- Congratulations, you have completed the trek and can now collect your Certificate of Achievement!
- Lunch will be served at a local restaurant in the Kinabalu Park area.
- You will be transferred back to Kota Kinabalu City, and the journey will take approximately 2 hours.

Important Notes
- Climbers arriving at Timpohon Gate after 4:30 PM will be charged MYR 15.00 per hour per guide, which must be paid to the guide on site.
- Remember to bring your passport or MYKAD for verification during registration at the Kinabalu Park office.
- Beginning September 1st, 2017, the Tourism and Culture Ministry of Malaysia will be implementing a Malaysian Tourism Tax (TTX) for foreign tourists. The rate is MYR 10 per room per night, regardless of the accommodation's star level, and is to be paid upon check-in. Malaysians or permanent residents residing in Malaysia are exempt from the TTX and must present valid identification upon check-in to claim the exemption.
- It is recommended that all climbers have a medical check-up before attempting any mountain climb.
- Suppose you have a history of conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, palpitations, arthritis, heart disease, severe anaemia, peptic ulcers, epileptic fits, obesity, chronic asthma, muscular cramps, hepatitis, or any other illness that may impede your climb, it is highly recommended that you refrain from climbing.
- All children under the age of 15 must fill out an indemnity form upon registration at the park headquarters.
- Our dedicated team operates around the clock to accommodate all guests' arrival schedules. Therefore, we are able to provide airport pick-up services at any time to match your arrival time. Please provide us with your flight details at least one week prior to your flight so we can make the necessary arrangements.
