Itinerary

DAY 1 - KOTA KINABALU / FALOE HOSTEL COMPLIMENTARY

  • Upon your arrival at the airport, your tour guide will transport you to Faloe Hostel in Kota Kinabalu, where you'll be accommodated in a shared dormitory room.
  • Spend your day freely exploring the vibrant city at your leisure.

DAY 2: KINABALU PARK HQ / TIMPOHON GATE / ASCEND MOUNT KINABALU / PANALABAN BASE CAMP

  • Packed Lunch, Buffet Dinner
  • 06:00 Hr - 07:00 Hr: Departure from your hotel to Kinabalu Park Headquarters, a scenic 2-hour drive. A packed lunch for the day will be provided.
  • 09:00 Hr: Upon arrival, our guide will complete all registration formalities, introduce your mountain guide, and issue your ID tag, which must be always worn during the climb.
  • The ascent begins at Timpohon Gate, marking the start of your adventure to the summit of Borneo’s tallest peak. Expect a 4–5-hour trek through diverse ecosystems, from lush forests to alpine zones.
  • Anticipate reaching Panalaban Base Camp at 3,272 meters above sea level by late afternoon.
  • The day concludes with a well-deserved buffet dinner at the Laban Rata restaurant, followed by a restful night at your private room at Laban Rata Resthouse.

DAY 3: LOW’S PEAK / DESCEND MOUNT KINABALU / KOTA KINABALU

  • Early Supper, Breakfast, Buffet Lunch
  • 02:00 Hr: An early start with a light supper before tackling the summit push to Low's Peak at 4,095 meters. The ascent challenges your endurance, with the potential reward of witnessing a spectacular sunrise.
  • 07:00 Hr: After the summit, descend to Panalaban Base Camp for breakfast and check-out.
  • The journey back includes a descent to Timpohon Gate and a transfer to Kinabalu Park Headquarters, where you'll arrive between 13:00 Hr - 15:00 Hr.
  • Celebrate your accomplishment with a Certificate of Achievement and enjoy a buffet lunch at the Liwagu Restaurant.
  • A scenic 2-hour drive takes you back to Kota Kinabalu, marking the end of your memorable climb.

Important Notes

  • Climbers arriving at Timpohon Gate after 4:30 PM will be charged MYR 15.00 per hour per guide, which must be paid to the guide on site.
  • Remember to bring your passport or MYKAD for verification during registration at the Kinabalu Park office.
  • Beginning September 1st, 2017, the Tourism and Culture Ministry of Malaysia will be implementing a Malaysian Tourism Tax (TTX) for foreign tourists. The rate is MYR 10 per room per night, regardless of the accommodation's star level, and is to be paid upon check-in. Malaysians or permanent residents residing in Malaysia are exempt from the TTX and must present valid identification upon check-in to claim the exemption.
  • It is recommended that all climbers have a medical check-up before attempting any mountain climb.
  • Suppose you have a history of conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, palpitations, arthritis, heart disease, severe anaemia, peptic ulcers, epileptic fits, obesity, chronic asthma, muscular cramps, hepatitis, or any other illness that may impede your climb, it is highly recommended that you refrain from climbing.
  • All children under the age of 15 must fill out an indemnity form upon registration at the park headquarters.
  • Our dedicated team operates around the clock to accommodate all guests' arrival schedules. Therefore, we are able to provide airport pick-up services at any time to match your arrival time. Please provide us with your flight details at least one week prior to your flight so we can make the necessary arrangements.
